Why Brides Choose Ella's Vineyard for Weddings in SLO County
Brides tour a handful of venues, walk up our hilltop drive in Creston, and the pace just shifts. The view opens across 32 acres of rolling hills, oak trees, and estate vineyards, and we usually hear some version of "This is it" before the tour is half over.
Brides choose Ella’s Vineyard for SLO County weddings because it offers a full weekend experience with scenic vineyard views, on-site lodging, flexible vendor options, and a relaxed flow from ceremony to reception. With multiple ceremony sites, included setup support, and a setting that keeps guests together, it feels more personal and less rushed than a typical venue.
Ella's Vineyard is a family-owned and operated estate on California's Central Coast, located at 8790 East Highway 41 in Creston, minutes from Paso Robles, Atascadero, and San Luis Obispo. Proprietors Katherine and Josh Morris built this place around one idea: your wedding day should feel unhurried.
What Makes Ella's Vineyard Different for SLO County Weddings
Ella's Vineyard sits on a hilltop in Creston with 360-degree views, on-site farmhouse lodging, a centuries-old oak ceremony tree, and a family team that handles the logistics so you never have to. It's a full weekend experience, not a venue rental, and that changes everything about how your wedding day feels.
You Get the Whole Weekend, Not Just the Day
Most venues hand you six hours and a hard out. Here, the weekend package includes two nights in our 3,000 square foot farmhouse, which accommodates up to 14 guests. Your people stay on the property with you.
The morning of your wedding, you take your coffee onto the wraparound porch and look out over Italian vines and rolling hills. There is no hotel scramble or same-night cleanup pressure. That unhurried feeling is built into the experience itself.
The Ceremony Site Couples Come For
A lot of brides find us because they want to say their vows under a real, significant tree. Ours is estimated to be around 400 years old, and it anchors a ceremony site that holds up to 200 guests on included wooden benches. The shade is genuine, the scale is striking, and the moment guests first see the tree alongside the farmhouse, the setting tends to speak for itself.

Prefer something more open? The highest point of the property looks out over miles of rolling hills and vineyards. We offer multiple ceremony locations, and transportation to and from the parking lot is included with either choice.
Reception Space That Keeps Guests Together
After the ceremony, guests move into a reception area built around our rustic barn, which becomes the dance floor for the night. Vintage string lighting covers the entire dining area. There's an outdoor bar with a complete beer and wine tap system, a full-service photobooth with props, a projector and screen for slideshows and movies, an open lawn for yard games, and restrooms both outdoors and inside the barn, including an ADA restroom.
The layout keeps everything close. Guests aren't wandering, and the party stays connected all evening.
Rentals, Setup, and a Team That Does the Heavy Lifting
Farm tables and crossback chairs are available to rent directly through us at a fraction of typical rental rates, and setup and breakdown are included with every Ella's Vineyard rental. No coordinating separate delivery trucks. No family members moving furniture on the wedding morning.
A venue manager is included with your booking. Day of coordination and full wedding planning are also available. Just ask, and we'll match you with the right level of support.
Vendor Flexibility and Bar Policy
We have an open vendor policy, and outside catering is allowed. Our recommended list covers dozens of local caterers across every style, and any vendor not on the list simply needs prior approval from our venue manager.
For beverages, beer and wine service runs from after the ceremony through 9:30 pm. Two signature cocktails are permitted through 8:00 pm. Two cases of wine are required to be purchased from our winery, which honestly isn't a hard sell when the estate wines are poured right alongside the vines that produced them.
The Central Coast Community Around You
Guests who travel in tend to stay in Paso Robles or Atascadero, both just a short drive away. The area offers a full weekend of restaurants, tasting rooms, and local events, so out-of-town guests arrive with plenty to do before and after your celebration.
Worth knowing for planning: the vineyard looks different across seasons. If the vines in your photos matter to you, it's a conversation worth having early. We're happy to walk you through what the property looks like at any time of year.
Conclusion
A lot of couples get married here. The ones who tell us afterward that it was everything they hoped for almost always say the same thing: they were actually present for it, not managing details, just celebrating. If that's the kind of wedding you're planning, we'd love to show you the property.
