Planning a wedding with a short guest list isn't settling for less. It means more time with the people you actually want around you, a day that moves at your pace, and a venue that can hold the full weight of the occasion without losing the intimacy that made you choose a smaller guest list in the first place.

To plan a micro wedding at Ella’s Vineyard, focus on keeping your guest list small, using the estate’s ceremony spaces and farmhouse for a full weekend experience, and working with their open vendor policy. The setting, on-site lodging, and included coordination create a relaxed, intimate celebration without the pressure of a larger event.

At Ella's Vineyard in Creston, CA, we've hosted weddings of all sizes, and some of the most memorable ones have been the most intimate. A hilltop estate on 32 acres, a centuries-old oak tree, a farmhouse where your closest people wake up together the morning of the ceremony.

What a Small Wedding Gains at a Vineyard Estate

A smaller guest list changes the whole rhythm of a wedding day. You're not managing a crowd, you're hosting the people who matter most, and the setting gets to do its job. At a vineyard estate, that means real conversations, unhurried moments, and a property that feels like it was yours for the whole weekend.

The Ceremony Sites Work Especially Well with Fewer Guests

Our hilltop estate in Creston sits on 32 acres in the Paso Robles AVA, and the views across the valley make the property feel far larger than any headcount would suggest. For your ceremony, you have two options. Exchange vows under our 400-year-old oak tree, where the canopy creates natural shade and a sense of place no floral arch can replicate.

Or move to the highest point of the property, where rolling hills and miles of vineyards stretch out behind you. Wooden benches are included at both sites, and we handle transportation to and from the parking lot so your guests arrive without any hassle.

The Farmhouse Turns the Weekend Into Something More

This is the detail that most surprises couples. Every wedding package includes a two-night stay in our 3,000-square-foot farmhouse, which sleeps up to 14 guests. For a micro wedding, that's genuinely transformative. Your closest people stay on the property with you.

The morning of your wedding begins with coffee on the wraparound porch overlooking Italian vines and rolling hills, and there's no same-night checkout rushing anyone out the door. It feels less like an event and more like a weekend you actually get to live in. Additional nights are available for an extra charge per night if you want to extend the stay.

What Comes With Your Booking

Your package includes the two-night farmhouse stay and your ceremony site with wooden benches for up to 40 guests. The rustic barn includes a photobooth, projector, Audio/Video system, and ADA restroom. A venue manager is with you throughout the day as part of every booking.

Seating rentals are currently in the works. Reach out to our team for the most up-to-date information on table and chair availability for your event.

An Open Vendor Policy and a Clear Bar Structure

We allow outside catering and maintain an open vendor policy. Any vendor not on our preferred list needs approval from our venue manager before booking, which keeps the day coordinated.

For bar service, beer and wine run from after the ceremony through 9:30 pm, and two signature cocktails are permitted through 8:00 pm. Two cases of wine purchased from our estate winery are required, giving your guests a direct taste of the estate wines made right here on the property.

A Team That Handles the Details

Katherine and Josh Morris spent more than a decade photographing weddings before opening their first venue in 2010, bringing well over a decade of venue experience to every event at Ella's Vineyard. They built this property around a straightforward idea that couples shouldn't be doing physical work on their own wedding day.

Our Venue Manager, Anna Watterworth, brings over ten years of wedding industry experience to every event and keeps vendors supported from start to finish. Day-of coordination is included with your booking. Full wedding planning services are also available. Reach out for details and pricing.

Conclusion

A micro wedding at Ella's Vineyard gives you the full property, the full team, and a weekend that doesn't have to end when the last dance does. We'd love to show you around. A walk through the property tends to answer most questions better than any brochure can.
