There's a moment on every property tour when a couple stops walking and just looks. At Ella's Vineyard, that moment almost always happens at the oak tree. It's been rooted into this Central Coast hillside for centuries, and standing underneath it, the decision stops feeling complicated. You're not comparing spreadsheets anymore. You're already here.

Ella's Vineyard in Creston offers two ceremony settings for weddings of 40 to 200 guests on a 32-acre hilltop estate in Paso Robles Wine Country: a shaded oak tree site with farmhouse and vineyard views, and a hilltop site overlooking miles of rolling hills and surrounding vineyards. Wooden benches are included, a wedding planner is required for day-of management, and the 3,000 square foot farmhouse sleeping 14 is included with weekend packages.

Still, choosing a ceremony space is one of the first real decisions you'll make for your wedding day, and we want to help you think it through clearly. Ella's Vineyard sits on 32 acres in Paso Robles Wine Country, and we offer more than one place to say your vows. Each option gives you something different, and the right choice depends on what matters most to you and your guests.

Finding the Right Spot to Exchange Your Vows on a Central Coast Vineyard Estate

Ella’s Vineyard gives you multiple places to say your vows, including two ceremony settings couples often fall in love with first: the shaded oak tree site and the hilltop ceremony site with wide vineyard views. One is intimate and shaded, anchored by a centuries-old oak tree that has become one of the most memorable ceremony settings on the property. The other opens up to the horizon. Knowing what each space offers makes the choice a lot easier.

The Oak Tree Ceremony Site

The oak tree at the center of our ceremony setting is centuries old, and it often becomes the moment couples remember most from their tour. The canopy offers natural shade, which matters more than couples expect when they're planning a summer wedding in Paso Robles Wine Country.

The backdrop combines the farmhouse, open vineyard rows, and rolling hills in a single frame, which is why so many photographers love how naturally the space frames a ceremony. Wooden benches are included for up to 200 guests, so your front rows are already handled. For couples who want a small, intentional gathering, this space is sized right. It feels personal without feeling cramped.

The Hilltop Ceremony Site

If you want a view that opens up in every direction, the highest point of the property is worth considering. From there, you're looking out over miles of vineyards and hills. The scale shifts. It feels expansive in a way the oak tree site doesn't, and for couples who want their ceremony to feel like a moment framed by the whole Central Coast landscape, this option delivers that without any staging required.

The hilltop site also gives you flexibility in terms of orientation. When you visit, we can talk through the ceremony flow, guest comfort, and the views that matter most to you.

How We Help You Decide

Our team brings deep wedding experience to each event, and Anna brings more than 10 years of professional experience to the planning process.

Part of what Anna does during the planning process is help couples think through flow, not just aesthetics. Where does the light fall at the time of your ceremony? How far are your guests walking? What direction are you facing when you read your vows?

These aren't questions you have to figure out alone. Our venue team supports the venue side of the event and helps with venue-related needs. Your wedding planner manages the timeline, ceremony flow, vendor direction, and wedding day details.

After the Ceremony

Once you've said yes, the celebration moves to the rustic barn and surrounding outdoor spaces. The barn becomes the dance floor. With a licensed bartender, couples can offer beer, wine, and two signature cocktails during the 4-hour bar service window.

The 3,000 square foot farmhouse, which sleeps up to 14, is included with your weekend package so your closest family can stay on the property, and nobody has to rush to a hotel at the end of the night.

Conclusion

Choosing your ceremony space is really about choosing the feeling you want when you turn around and see the people you love most. Whether that's standing in the shade of a centuries-old oak tree or looking out over the hills from the highest point of the property, both sites at Ella's Vineyard give you something genuine and unhurried.

Come walk the property and see which one stops you mid-sentence. Reach out to Anna at events@ellasvineyard.com or call 209-327-2471 to schedule your tour.

Yes. Outside catering is allowed, and you're welcome to bring vendors of your choice. Any vendor not on our recommended list needs to be approved by the venue manager before booking.

Do we need a wedding planner?

Yes, couples need a wedding planner to run the wedding day. Our venue manager is there to help ensure the venue runs efficiently for your event.
